PME makes a pearl luster spray in a can. I have used it on buttercream and fondant and it works well.

Rock sugar could look ok but would not be as shiny as the other options given above, it might give more of the effect of pieces of ice and not soft sparkly snow

When my mother got re-married her whole cake was covered in what im assuming is rock suger (really large sugar crytals like mashed up rock candy) and I just wanted to let you know that, as someone who ate the cake, it is not so pleasant. It is hard and felt like it might cut the roof of my mouth. Cruncky on cake was a little strange. Hers was over fondant so most people just pulled it all off.
It did look beautiful though and very "winter"

Hi dear...! I thought tat too...! It will surely ruin the texture of the fondant when we want to eat it..!

Well guess i hv to hunt around for the above suggested items..!

Anyway..! Someone suggested sanding sugar..! Wat is tat..?

Wilton makes a white edible glitter you could look into.
