I need to make a gift box cake and I'm trying to figure out how to make the cake box lid to look like this one?
Is it just fondant that has been cut to a diameter a little larger than the cake itself? Or do I need to trip the cake itself as well?
How do the edges look so neat?
Any help would be really appreciated.
Her instructions are in with her cake picture. Here is what she said:
"For the lid I rolled a circle larger than the diameter of the cake and then using a ruler I cut off the excess all around the cake with my exacto knife."
