I will be attempting to make "angry birds" cake pops tonight and i'm afraid that i haven't perfected everything yet. My white Candy Melts are just to thick that i do not get an even, smooth coat on the "cake balls" I am heating them in a bowl over boiling water. Am i doing this wrong? do I need to add something to the candy melts???

Also, does anyone have some tips to achieve my "angry birds" look?

Thank you all so much!!! I wouldn't have the knowledge that I do now, without you all!!!

Add some crisco to thin the candy melts down.

Wow, never thought of that! Will they still dry super hard? and how much should I add to 1 bag of candy melts!

Hi there, I recently made angry bird cake pops. I used merckens chocolate as I found the wilton melts to be too thick even when I added crisco shortening. With merckens, I only add very little (1 tsp) crisco until I'm satisfied with the consistency.
