Tutorial Or Advice On Doing Leopard Print?
Decorating By dawnybird Updated 22 Feb 2013 , 7:30am by kayedee
I've been dying to do leopard print on fondant, and I know it looks very random, but random can be hard to do. I'd like it to look pretty realistic. Anyone have tips, advice, or know of a tutorial? Thanks a bunch, caker buddies!
I don't know that there's any advice other than get your paintbrush out and have at it! I'd get a picture of a leopard print off of google images and just use it as a reference, then dab the food coloring on instead of painting it in long strokes, know what I mean? Maybe I'll do a tutorial on it, come to think of it.
Thank you both for your input. Bashini, I can't get to the link you posted because I have to have a username and password to that site. Sure wish I could see it! Thanks!

There are so many different versions of it, when I done it, I found a picture of one I like and dabbed on, like the first poster mentioned. Colour is key for me, and then you just have to decide how big or small to make the spots.
Tortomanie, is that your website? It's really cool...I'm emailing you about this later.
It's probably too late for this particular cake, but here is a link to my tutorial for future reference: http://cakecentral.com/a/paint-leopard-print-cake
Hope this helps :)
Thanks, Kendra! That's great! Too late for that particular cake, but there's always room for improvement!
