Newbie here and working on creating some flavorings/emulsions, etc...Wondering...what does Creme Bouquet taste like? I'm a little put off by the smell, so I'm wondering what it tastes like. Any flavorings you recommend? Thanks all! icon_biggrin.gif

Creme Bouquet is very strong and the odor from the bottle is not what it tastes like in icing. It is my favorite flavoring but I never use it straight. I put vanilla flavoring and only 1/4 tsp or so of Creme Bouquet in a large buttercream recipe. It has a buttery, vanilla, almond flavor and I've noticed that Southerners particularly seem to like the rich flavor. Just remember, don't use much or it is overwhelming.
