How many pounds of custard would you need to fill a sheet cake? A friend wants a specific type in the cake and the bakery sells it buy the pound. She was going to buy it and give it to me... but not sure how much it costs?

It's kind of difficult to figure by weight without knowing how much a cup weighs. Fillings are usually measured by the cup. In an 8" round cake for example(2 layers)I use about 1+cp filling. If I torte it to 4 layers I am using 3+ cups of filling, 1cp per layer.
