I have cream cheese frosting in my frig tightly sealed since Sunday or Monday. It consists of powdered sugar, cream cheese, vanilla, and butter. Do you think it's still good? I want to use it tomorrow. Thanks!

icon_smile.gif taste it... heheeh

i have had a bit of frosting leftover and sealed it properly and it survives a week ... sometimes it hasn't survived 3 days depending i guess on how long it was left out when made, and the room temperature at the time.

It should be just fine, just be sure to remix it before you ice your cake.

It really didn't sit out. I made the frosting, iced cupcakes right away, and then put it in the frig. icon_smile.gif

Your cream cheese icing should be perfectly fine. I always make a large batch and keep it for a couple of weeks.

Next time you've got some leftover icing, freeze it.....lasts a couple of months. Defrost, rebeat and it is good to go.
