How Do I Successfully Make Sugarsgacks Buttercream?

I made it and had to add more liquid and shortening. It is dry here in Boise,Idaho. I filled it to cover the paddle. Sill had air bubbles. It crusted to fast on me. I added extra shortening so it would not be so crusty. Did not work. I work to slow I guess. Viva and computer paper did not work all that well. Can somone help me? Every time I make a cake I am always discouraged. What am I doing wrong? It came out pretty smooth when I made the icing but the next day or so it had bubbles. I used Sweetex and a name brand p. sugar that was pure cane sugar.

I wish I could help you but I didn't have any luck with that recipe either. Loaded with air bubbles, and I couldn't get it smooth no matter what I did. Also used pure cane confec and hi ratio shortening.
