I found this picture and am planning on painting black gel paste onto white marshmallow fondant discs to top cupcakes!

http://cakecentral.com/gallery/1908028

I have only found one thread and it said to thin the color with alcohol and brush on.

Is this the best way?

Oh and would I let the fondant dry flat then paint and put on top of cupcakes? I am new to MMF and do not know if they can stay at room temperature on cupcakes or if they dry?

Thanks so much!!

I would just use the color right from the bottle like Black gel or airbrush color. No need to thin it down.I paint on my fondant all the time but use stright gel color..It is thicker and won't run...

Thank you so much!

I read that if you use Wilton you would need to thin it (no idea why) but if you use Americolor you don't. I didn't think I could find Americolor in stores but I did today. icon_smile.gif
