Looking for any advise on stenciling a cake for the first time, the cake is covered in fondant... andy suggestions would be great.. thanks therese
I've only stencilled once but here's a few tips that I have are:
-use a dab of shortening on each corner of the stencil - it helps to hold the stencil on the cake
-wash/dry your stencil after each time you use it
-check the consistency of your icing by trying out your stencil on the back of your pan first - it's also a great way to practice and build up confidence!
-mistakes are cleanable with vodka - even black icing on white fondant!
-Lastly, don't forget to breath!!
