Use your favorite frosting recipe substituting almond extract for whatever you normally use. icon_smile.gif

I actually like almond with the vanilla and butter extract.

Too me all almond can be a little strong, but mixing it with the other two helps mellow it out, but it can still be a front runner in taste.

I agree with the above. I love almond flavoring in almost everything especially as a subtle flavor. Additionally you can add Parisian Almond Coffee Creamer by Coffee Mate. I use sugar shack's buttercream recipe so I add coffee creamer anyway, so I generally play around with the different flavor options.

I definately agree w/Txas icon_smile.gif

Here's a flavoring 'recipe' that one can use in either your cake or icing or both:

1 part vanilla
1/2 part butter flavoring
1/4 part almond
A "part" is *any measure* you want to use be it a teaspoon, Tablespoon, cup, pint or gallon! icon_smile.gif
I mix this up by the cup and keep it on hand all the time.
