I have just seen some edible diamonds on this site
http://www.rainbowsugarcraft.co.uk/shop/Edible_Diamonds.htm

Can anyone who has used these please tell me the problems you had? I have read the instructions at the bottom below the picture and it says that you should put the stones just before cutting / displaying but I don't think that is possible as there is going to be at least a days gap between decorating and displaying?

I bought a small pack of these to play around with. They are beautiful, but moisture will make them cloudy. Sometimes a thin coat of oil will revive them, but I would never put them in the fridge. I would apply them at the venue if possible and if not, just before I left the shop with the cake.

I have had lots of requests lately for "blingy" cakes and I finally started ordering non-edible rhinestones from bead and trim. The 3 and 4-row rhinestone ribbons are easy to use and really make an impact.

I used the blue diamonds for a wedding cake. I added them to the cake the day of the wedding. About 8 to 10 before the wedding and they looked good!
