Unflavored Gelatine!!

I was tired of my mmf not coming out right, so I decided to add gelatine to it to see what would happen. I don't know if anyone else has tried this before but it is the best thing to me now. I put it on a square cake and it didn't tear on the corners. When I rolled it out it didn't crack at all. it held its shape. Most of the time my mmf just falls apart, I even tried glucose. But gelatine in my mmf is a keeper for me. Just wanted to share.

How much did you use and how did you incorporate it in your fondant?

How did you add it? Just the powder, or did you set it up in some liquid first?

I used 1 tbsp of gelatine mixed with 3-4 tbsp water. Let it set until the gelatine dissolves. Then mix with the melted marshmallows before adding powder sugar.

Thank, will try this! Does the gelatin make the MMF too soft to make roses, etc.?

I haven't tried to make roses yet, but if you do please let me know how it turns out.
