I have to brush piping gel on a cake to attach sugar crystals but it's so thick. Can I add water to thin it out? Thanks!
Yes, I do it all the time. A little goes a long way though.
I recently opened my container of piping gel to find it thickened. I read the ingredients and added a bit more corn syrup to it and about 1/8th tsp. of water. I stirred it well and it went back to looking normal.
