All of my pans all Wilton decorator preferred, My local discount store are selling the wilton gold pans for five dollars starting with the 8" for that price. I was wondering if I were to purchase one 8" and use it with my DP 8" would it any difference on how the way it would look?

I don't think they are shaped any differently but perhaps coated or made from a different material???

Don't those gold W pans nest? That means the sides are sloped.

What do you mean by nest/sloped?

Sloped/nested means they stack inside each other for easier storage instead of sitting on top of each other. After baking, when you turn the cake out of the pan, it will be slanted, not straight up and down, so one end of the cake will be wider than the other.

Oh ok but would it look noticeable?

I wouldn't buy the gold pans.

Wilton's regular round pans do not nest. The gold pans may slant a little, but I'm not totally sure. They aren't any better than the regular pans.

Wilton's square pans do have a slight slant to the sides.
