When using LorAnn oil to flavor your icing, don't continue to put oil into it for flavoring until it reaches a flavor that you like. Why? Two hours later it's going to taste like you dumped the entire bottle in it!! icon_redface.gif

That is a very valuable lesson indeed. I also found that the flavor profile enhances as it sits. For this reason I try to make my butter cream ahead of time and let it have time to come to flavor before needing it for a cake delivery. I have begun keeping track of how much it takes for each flavor so that I do not have to play around with adding, waiting, adding, waiting, etc.
