This is my first post to this forum. I am working on my first cake with chocolate shells. Can anyone tell me how to make the shells lift up on the top layer so that they are not laying flat? Would I use some of the icing underneath them so that they lift up? Thank you in advance for any advice.

One idea is to 'glue' (with chocolate) a sucker stick to the back of the shell and stick it into the cake. You can use the first shell to help hold the others' up.
