I'm about to bake a cake tomorrow, decided to go through my ingredients and come to find I don't have any vanilla extract left! artificial or pure! I'm baking a home made chocolate cake which calls for 2TBSP of vanilla extract. My question is, can I substitute using English Toffee extract? I know it's more concentrated...please help!
I think in should be fine. Toffee and chocolate go together lol. How much more concentrated is it? May use 1 1/2 TBSP or just 1 TBSP, if it is a high concentration. Let us know how it turns out!
That should work fine. You could also use Kahlua in place of the vanilla. Yummy.
