does anyone know of a tutorial on making a wedding dress cake? i need to make one for this sat and am having a real hard time finding any tips or instructions. I am referring to the kind of cake that is square or round and has a fondant dress layered or flat on it.

I guess, getting the pleated look on the skirt in particular.

I'm not 100% sure what you mean... do you have a picture of what you're aiming for?

The skirt is not actually pleated - it's cut in strips and then layered to look like pleats. HTH!

thank you so much! yes that is exactly the kind of cake i am referring to and that is a very beautiful one in particular. I figured it was separate pieces , i guess i was just hoping to visualize it being done in a step by step tutorial. No such luck though!
