Has anyoe tried the cake pop pans for cake balls? If so, did you like them?

I have been waiting for my Walgreens to get some in. As soon as they do I will buy one and try it out. The whole process of mushing cake and frosting into a ball grosses me out lol. I too wonder if anyone has tried it and liked the outcome...

I tried it for the first time and it wasn't so bad. BUT I don't think I mushed it like I've seen. I had like 1/3 cup frosting, at best, to an 8" layer of cake. I've seen cake ball mix that, I hate to phrase it like this, kind of made me think of dogfood. So my cakeballs tasted like cake and had a cake texture, not mushy at all.
