I made a cake for my nephews 1st b-day party today and I transported all 3 tiers for 3-4 hours. The sides did get a little banged up and need to fix them today before party.
Each tier is a different color and I brought along all colors except for 1!!!
How do I fix bc that's crusted already?
I would take a paper towel (viva preferably) and a fondnat smoother and smooth out any imperfections.
Paper towel and smooth you will be fine. I have stuck my finger in the side of so many cakes I can't count. I fill in with frosting let crust and smooth. If you are trying to fix a darker color frosting it might show a little in the area fixed but only if you are filling in not just smoothing out.
