I'm decorating a fondant covered cake with royal icing. I have to refrigerate the cake because it has cream cheese frosting. Is it ok to put royal icing in the fridge or will it be affected? Thank you!!

Moisture can cause RI to break down and bleed.

Honestly I would use a cream cheese butter cream that doesn't require refrigeration. This one is my favorite. http://cakecentral.com/recipes/2047/crusting-cream-cheese-icing Earlene's cream cheese frosting also doesn't require refrigeration. As the other poster said refrigeration can break the royal icing. down.
