Hi! How long does it take to make 200 cake pops? I thought maybe 2 days, three at the most... I was wrong! My friend asked me if I could make her cake pops for her son's first birthday party. Her theme us Winnie the Pooh, so I said I would make 50 of each of the main characters. I gave myself two days and I don't think I'm going to finish on time. Plus I have the cake to do. Mind you I have a very active 2 and 4 year old to juggle around. What did I get myself into?!?! If there is a cake god, please help me get through this!

Well, I only make round ones with splatters of chocolate in a contrasting color. 200 of those could be knocked overnight. What you're doing, well I can't even imagine the time-suck it must be.

Are you giving these to her, no charge? If so, it's okay to tell her that you miscalculated. Perhaps fully decorate some cake pops and do a simpler color-splatter on others, as Leah said that she does. A friend should understand, especially a friend with a young child.
