Can someone who watched that really old Food Network Challenge episode on Sesame Street's 40th anniversary answer this question: I know that Lauren Kitchens who made the Elmo cake used modeling chocolate for Elmo's fur. I know she extruded Elmo's fur using her KitchenAid pasta extruder but HOW did she attach the extruded fur pieces onto her Elmo? Anyone who watched this, please help!

I didn't watch it... But I would say a little melted chocolate?

Thanks for commenting. I was thinking either melted chocolate or royal icing. Melted chocolate seemed counter productive though because of the time constraints of the 8 hour match and having to reheat that chocolate to make it sticky enough for the modeling chocolate to adhere.

Anyone else, any ideas?
