Does anyone know what would cause bubbles under a buttercream frosted cake? I noticed after I finished decorating a wedding cake this past weekend that there where a few bubbles under the frosting...almost like what happens with fondant. I did pop one that I saw but my daugher said that she noticed one. Now I know since I made the cake for a friend of hers that she was checking it out with a magnifing glass (got to love your kids) so she saw any imperfection, but honestly I don't know if anyone else noticed. I am wondering what caused this so I can avoid it next time. I used a similar recipe to Sugarshack's recipe.
