Hi everyone.
Last night I got a last minute order for an ipod cake due Saturday morning. It is for a coworker of a dear friend (the lady hasn't even called me yet btw but I am doing it because I trust my friend 100%.) Anyhow, the lady wants me to do an ipod cake for about 10-15 people (everything in buttercream) and she wants me to do a layer of chocolate and one of vanilla. I told my friend that I am not going to make 2 different cakes for such a small order and that I am just going to add cocoa to half the regular cake batter. She said it was fine. My question is, would it taste like chocolate? Do I need to add more butter or eggs or something? Thanks! icon_biggrin.gif

Yes that's fine. I do it a lot for marble cakes.

You might want to add in a little good chocolate flavoring to the chocolate batter, just to give it some oomph!
