Ok so my cake recipe is very bland, it took me so long to come up with a eggless cake recipe and it is perfect except for the level of vanilla and sugar.
I cannot use pure vanilla extract because of the alcohol and artificial extract is not enough.

So I bought vanilla sugar, can I use this in my cake in addition to vanilla powder and will it make it sweet enough and flavourful enough.
Or should I use vanilla sugar only and add extra regualr sugar to make the cake more sweeter?

Thanks

You could also get a pod and scrape the seeds into your batter... no alcohol there and you get a really nice vanilla flavor.

And you can make vanilla sugar with the leftover pod skins so no waste and you don't have to pay for the vanilla sugar. icon_smile.gif
