We have an order from a bride for a shimmering, sparkling band around the base of her cakes. I have ordered some coarse sugar and will be trying to dust this onto fondant strips to see if I can get the 'bling' she is looking for. She wants everything to be edible so cake jewelry is out. Of course, her budget is limited, but I want to present the best possible cake for her. Does anyone have any ideas about make sparkling bands? or, finding edible silver sparkle bands? You could try Oriental Trading, they sell the edible shimmer ribbon bands in different colors. I just checked it out, they're running a sale for a pack of 18, $6.99, regularly $12.99. HTH
