Has anyone tried this? I was just asked to make cupcakes for a very special charity event, and this recipe caught my eye. It's very late notice, and I don't really have time to run any tests, so I thought I'd ask the experts. Thanks!!
hey i have a question.. where do you find the Cinnamon Bun creamer or the mini cinnamon chips ? ive been wanting to try this recipe out as well.. i hope someone who has tried this can tell me where they bought this at
2 white cake mixes
2 cups flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup powdered sugar
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 1/3 cups Cinnamon Bun creamer
1 1/3 cups water
3 Cinnamon Roll yogurts (or 2 c sour cream)
8 egg whites or 6 whole eggs
1/4 cup oil
4 tsp vanilla
*stir in 1 cup mini-cinnamon chips. *Or add 1 tsp cinnamon.
Swirl the batter with:
4 T butter, melted
2/3 c brown sugar
5 t cinnamon
...but I prefer to use the filling mix by King Arthur Flour.
I did not use the chips. The creamer is in the dairy section with other coffee creamers.
Thank you! Apparently they don't make the cinnamon bun yogurt anymore, so I'll have to make due . Did anyone try the filling? I'm thinking of just topping with a white chocolate cream cheese frosting instead...Thanks again!!!!
King Arthur Flour makes mini cinnamon chips and what they call cinnamon bites for baking. I haven't tried them myself but they are highly rated on their website.
i found the yogurt at Walmart. it is the lite but that is what I used and it worked fine. I also used the filling on the King Arthur website.
I actually recently ordered both the cinnamon chips and the filling from King Arthur, but they won't get here in time for these cupcakes...and I just called Yoplait, and they don't make the cinnamon roll anymore But I'm still pretty confident that they'll be pretty tasty. Thank you sooo much for the input!
Pulling up another old cake recipe I found on here and this one looks delicious! I have been wanting to recreate cinnamon rolls without all the ROLLING!
I am going to look again for the cinnamon roll yogurt ~ but if I can't find this one, what have you guys used that worked and still added that flavor?
Thanks, CC is truly the best for sparking up ideas and answering questions!
