Cake Baking Times

I am somewhat new to cake baking and I bought a 5" by 3" round pan and I also have a 8" by 3" pan. Can anyone tell me since these pans are deeper than regular pans how long I would bake for approximately?

Any help would be great. Thanks!!!

There's really no right or wrong answer to this question and here's why.

Every one of my recipes bakes at a different time. For example my white vanilla bean cake is light and fluffy compared to my double chocolate fudge cake, which is more dense and fudgy.

I can bake both recipes side by side at 325 degrees in the same size pans and the white cake will be finished 20% sooner than the chocolate.

You'll get to know how much baking time is required for each of your recipes as you bake them.
