sounds like a stupid question but I am sitting here no car and a very very sick husbaand who was wonderful to stop and pick up my frosting i ordered and my oil for the cake mixes but forgot to get strawberries. I don't even know if they had any I am not going to mention it to him... or he will drag himself out again.

I have a car but because of me just getting over being very ill and on oxygen I don't get out by myself.

Anyway I know years ago in a blizzard I used frozen stawberries.. they worked I guess... no complaints from the people. People always request fresh when certain times of year they are not tasty...

The frozen come in liquid or just frozen whole... any suggestions or do I go out and hunt down strawberries after husband goes to sleep.

also have strawberry filling you buy in a sleve... help cake for saturdaay

What are you using the strawberries for, cake, filling or icing?

I've used frozen berries to make my fillings before when fresh are not in season, if that's what you're asking.

Sure, I've used frozen berries to make cooked preserves for cake filling.

However, I've never used them out of the package (just thawed).

I'm not sure how the texture would be. Sometimes frozen berries can be "mushy".
