So, my niece has asked that her wedding cake have:
4 round tiers
red glitter hearts
black and white checks (yes like nascar)
music notes,
fountain,
feathers-
and her tables will have vases of orchids--
yikes!!
Anyone have any ideas as to how this could be incorporated into an elegant(or at least tasteful) cake??
I know I can use the checks as a pattern around the base of the tiers, stencil on the notes,use the feathers around the base of the fountain and on the topper, but how can I make each tier of cake look different rather than just slapping notes and hearts on everything.. TIA for you help..

My first thought after reading this is to make one tier a music staff - if you have a steady hand! You can make the five bars and then put music notes on them...

Or you could combine the hearts and the music notes and make the "ball" part of the music note be a heart.

Hmm... or you could do music notes drifting up the cake layer by layer...
