Well I am taking my cakes to the fair today. Hope I do well. I made a pancake cake for the novelty category. I also made another cake in the special occasion category. I made one that looks like I had draped a doily over a light peach fondant. I just love both of them. I hope I do well. Has anyone else entered in their local fair. Will let everyone know how I did. Good for you. I think it's fun to participate in the county fairs but the judging - in general - is horrible.

I also got 2 firsts, best of show and sweepstakes back in July.

Well just got home with my cakes. I entered 17 items, mostly baking. Placed 13 1st place and 3 3rds. Won Grand Champion for my homemade yeast rolls which qualified me for the state competition which is September 25th. I guess I will. The competition is at our State Fair. Will let everyone know how I do. Everyone have a wonderful day.
