Hi there! I have to make a very realistic fairy sitting on a rock cake soon and I'm really worried about it. I was looking at the PME people moulds and wondering if anyone's ever tried them? If so, what do you think of them? Or if you have any other ideas for me, please let me know. The person I'm doing the cake for does not want the fairy to look 'cartoonish'. I don't even know where to start. I was going to make the entire fairy out of gum paste. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

I own the set and like it. A few things, the pieces have seams when you remove them, you need to use a little shortening and gently smooth out the seams one the parts that are not going to be covered. The heights are man ( approx. 8 1/2" tall), woman ( 8 1/4"), child 10yrs (6"), and the child 5yrs (5"). The children are more "chunky" than the adults. lol. I don't know how tall you want to make the fairy but that's something to consider.

I found these tutorials online...they might help.
I have not used the people molds but if nothing else they will provide a good starting point for your figurines. HTH
