So stressed out... I'm working on my third real wedding cake ever. I had some problems with bulging because when I trimmed my cake, I cut away some of the dam (but I'll make that the back of the cake). Anyway, my question is.. should I stack the tiers tonight or tomorrow (which is the day of the wedding)? Please let me know what you guys do? Thanks!
I haven't done any big stacked cakes myself however from what I Do know and see of other posts, I would imagine leave it as long as possible to stack- i.e. dont transport the cake stacked if you can help it, then stack onsite and add any final touches needed when you're there?
By all means someone correct me if i'm wrong!
I stack as late as possible. Will deliver 4 tier wedding cake in a few hours. Currently bottom two stacked & top two stacked (all with SPS). Will assemble on site. hth
I stack at least a full day ahead to allow the cake to bulge..That way I can scrape down the excess and ice it smooth..No bulges after that...
