Made Gumpaste And It Isn't White!!!!

I made gumpaste using the Wilton recipe and it turned out fine other than the fact its TAN and not white!!!! Any suggestions????? I need it to be white!

It will look whiter when it dries...but if you need bright white and you have time to order some tylose, Nicholas Lodge's recipe is excellent and is a really bright white.

I like Nic's recipe, too, but I don't put nearly the sugar in that he does.

That's why I like Wilton's premade gum paste. It dries white. Can you perhaps brush petal dust or white luster dust over it?
