Can anyone tell me how to attach 3 handmade gumpaste anemones to the top of the cake so they are sturdy enough for an hours drive? Should i put a small mound of sugarpaste in the middle of the cake and then attach to that? Having a mental block here!!

A small mound of sugar paste and royal icing on top of that should do fine icon_smile.gif

What are you attaching them to? Buttercream or fondant? I have found that melted chocolate or candy melts work really well for "glueing" decorations to cakes covered with either one.

I'm attaching the flowers to fondant - i hadn't really considered melted chocolate.
