I am going to make a Barbie cake using the Wonder mold. I have read some posts and they suggest using a dense cake. Anyone have any cake suggestions I really didn't want to make a pound cake. Any help is as alway appreciated. icon_biggrin.gif

I have a recipe on my site that I got from a friend for a vanilla bean cake, it's pretty dense and super duper delicious. The recipe is the last one on this page: http://katssweetsomethings.com/recipes/cakes-cupcakes/ ... I highly recommend it!

Hi Holly,
I am making a cake this weekend, actually a carved car cake for my son's 18th birthday, and I was also wondering without making a pound cake, what would be the best dense cake to use? Glad you asked, because I have been searching myself icon_smile.gif

If you're interested, I also have a really yummy cream cheese pound cake recipe - I could seriously eat that whole cake myself without blinking (not posted on my blog though) - if you want it, just let me know!
