I plan on making Red Velvet Cake Pops (first time for cake pops, and first time for red velvet) I'm assuming I should mix in Cream Cheese frosting..anyone have a simple buy yummy frosting recipe i could use?! It's so hard to search on that recipe search, i glanced around, but nothing popped out to me. Thanks so much!!

I make my cream cheese frosting the following way:

8oz softened cream cheese
8oz sweetex (high ratio shortening)
2lb powdered sugar
vanilla to taste
water for consistency
pinch of salt added to water (optional)

Cream shortening and cream cheese. Add at least 2 tsp vanilla. Mix. Add sugar. Add water little bit at a time until you achieve consistency you desire.

I prefer this recipe as it holds up better than using only cream cheese which creates an extremely soft frosting.
