And I need the help of all my fellow South Carolina bakers and friends to make that happen! I've started a page on Facebook - SC Cottage Food Law (!/pages/SC-Cottage-Food-Law/252582991433151?sk=wall) - and am asking anyone interested in helping make this happen to sign up. Once we have a small following, I'll set up a meeting and we can coordinate our efforts.

You will also find a link to a petition there. Please forward that link ( to all your friends and family in South Carolina.

Thank you so much!

South Carolina Bakers - I would love to hear from you. How would a Cottage Food Law help? What would you like to see in a Cottage Food Law?

For me, it would allow me to advertise and legally sell my cakes and other goodies from home. As a mother of four and a the wife of a teacher, it's not possible for me to work outside of home. A small business like this would let me set my own schedule and contribute to our family's income.
