My stepdaughter is getting married in a couple of weeks in MD. I am in GA. She has asked if its possible for me to make cupcakes or maybe even a small cake for the rehearsal dinner. We are leaving on a Thursday to be in MD by Friday for the rehearsal. So I would need to have one or the other done on Wednesday. Do you think its possible to make either and do that much traveling and so much time before it would be served?

About a 24 hour spand of time? is it possible to ice the cupcakes when you get there and possibly the cake?

I just don't know where I would have the time. We will get to NC late on Thurs. Then driving to MD, checking in to hotel, getting ready to go to rehearsal! If I could, I would decorate in the car!

Not sure how far that is but if you are using buttercream, you could freeze them then pack them in a cooler with some dry ice and they should still be nice when you arrive.
