Please help, I am new to cake decorating. I need to know how to stiffen my icings without adding sweetness. I have the icing to the flavor I want but it is a bit too soft. How do I get it more stiff without adding sugar?

Oh goodness. I'm fairly new too. I was going to suggest powdered sugar but that would definately make it sweeter. Looking forward to hearing suggestions.

I'm using Cream cheese frosting and Cream Cheese with flavors added. Chocolate frosting and buttercream some with added flavors.

The only way I know to stiffen icing is to add powdered sugar. Adding a dash or two of salt helps cut back on the sweetness.
