My new customer can bring me alot of new business! Time is of the essence, cake needs to be ready Friday and I can't decide what to do. She is having a birthday party for her 3 yr old and it's a lady bug theme she handed me one of those birthday express catalogs and asked for a cake to serve 25. I'm attaching photos (I hope, as I'm new here) of my test cakes and desperately seeking comments or ideas. Which do you like or have a better idea? I'm putting the cake ladybug on top of a 8 in cake and stacking on top of a 12 in. I know this is more cake then she asked for, but my goal is to impress
Still getting the hang of this wonderful site

Personally i think the 3rd one is just adorable!!
Me too!
#1 gets my vote! Seems the most cartoon-like which won't scare a three year old! Kids are funny that way!! Lol
You all are awesome! Thank you for taking the time. Keep'm coming lol... the 1st one I did didn't do the body right, the second one came out better. For those of you picking #1 is it the face? The colors? Just curious ... the gal I'm making this for just showed me the pic and said "whatever you want to do". Sometimes a little more details is helpful, but taking into consideration it's for a 3 yr old, still want mom to be impressed!
Thanks again, you all have been very helpful!
The pic titled "Ladybug #2" is my favorite. Second choice would be the one titled "ladybug topper" but I like the proportions of the body, head, and antennas better in "Ladybug #2. The pink ladybug is also cute.
I chose #1 because I think the face is adorable. Plus....I just like pink! (Said as the only female in a home full of boys)
I like pink too but I think Ladybug #2 is the cutest. Maybe make Ladybug #2 with a pink body? I also like the flowers on ladybug #1 the best if that matters.
Not sure how to reply with a quote yet but..... I'm with you on that Vicki all boys in my house and I too adore any shades of pink!!!
Thank you all so much! So maybe I should do ladybug#2 with the face of #1
.. pink fondant covering the bottom teir cake with a red ribbon around the bottom with blk dots for the border? Might tie everything together, oh and add flowers and leaves. Thoughts?
