I have this crazy order for a 30th birthday cake. The client wants a Ninja Turtle with a Paul Stanley Kiss face. She wants the turtle to be upright and she says the birthday boy isn't a big fan of cake and was wondering if I could make a version of RKT with cheerios instead. I've never worked with modeling chocolate but I'm wondering if the best way to go about it would be to have my nifty bf build a frame from PVC pipes and just build up the cheerio treats on the frame and cover with modeling chocolate. If I do that, should I color the chocolate before I cover the cheerios or should I paint it afterward? Would fondant be better? Any ideas or guidance would be greatly appreciated!
