How Do I Make These Iphone Logo Cupcake Toppers?

I have been asked by a friend to recreate a photo she found of iPhone logos on cupcakes. I offered to do just a big iPhone cake but she prefers the cupcakes. So anyway, here's the picture if you haven't seen one like it already:

How do I make those toppers? They look quite sturdy, would they be made out of fondant but left to dry and go harder for a few days or something? I wouldn't have thought they'd be made out of gum paste as it wouldn't really be edible...

They look like they have a thick square of fondant on top of each cupcake and then the icon for each iphone button on top of that. Yo could make them out of 50/50 (1/2 gumpaste and 1/2 fondant, mixted together then make the icon from that).
