My cake just cracked and I don't know what to do to fix it. I made two wasc cakes one 6" and one 9" and both cracked on top . Is this repairable or do I have to start all over? I am making a birthday cake for someone tonight and I don't want it to be ugly.
Need more info. Are they cracked in 1/2? Totally through? Or just split on the top? Can you level the cake to take off the split or at least some of it?
If it's not all that deep just fill it w/icing once the cake is leveled.
If it is totally in 1/2, glue the two pieces together w/icing.
Kakeladi thanks for the reply but I started over and decided to keep the 6" for myself lol. Both cakes had domed a bit and cracked in the middle but both were intact otherwise.
