Hello everyone,

So I'm making a friend's baby shower cake and she wants the baby bum cake: http://www.atouchofcake.com/images/portfolio/Baby%20Bottom%20Cake.JPG

I have never made this cake before so a few questions.... is the bum made of cake like carved the covered in fondant? Are the legs made of big chunks of fondant or cake as well?

If anyone can give me some directions or point me to a tutorial that would be awesome!

Thanks so much!

S.

I make the bum out of cake using a sports ball pan and I use RKT for the legs and cover them in fondant. Check youtube for a video, but I'm not sure if they have one.

There is a tutorial on this site, and I just made one a couple of weeks ago (it's in my photos). I found it difficult to work with the rkt...I just used fondant for the legs and feet and I used a half of the Wilton sports ball pan for the rump. I think it came out great and was really easy to do! Good luck!
