So long story short I was supposed to do a wedding cake & cupcakes this last Saturday. (first wedding as a favor for a friend who is planning the whole shindig for his brother) However I found out on the Wednesday just before the wedding that it had been postponed due to the bride going on bed rest until after she had her baby. Lucky for me I had not started to much on the decorations due to a change of design on my part.
Now I have about a month or so until the wedding takes place. My question is how early is to early to make decorations out of MMF? How should I store them? And I don't think that this is an issue but I am also making roses with Royal Icing, They were made with a meringue base instead of egg whites. will they still be edible after a month?
any help would be great!
You can make those now and store them somewhere cool and dark. I put tissue paper in a shoe box and put it in my pantry. I have a couple of flowers still in there that I made last year in my Wilton class and it's all fine.
