I have a friend from Germany who wants me to make her nougat rings. She does not have a recipe and I can't seem to find one on the internet. Has any one heard of these and know how to make them? She is a bit homesick and I would love to make them for her.

from what I found on the net, it is a shortbread type of cookie with nuts on top and covered with chocolate. I found a translated site for it:
