I'd like some info as to what the silhouette does. Does it cut fondant/gumpaste? What other options are there? Does a Kopykake do the same thing? What about an edible image machine?
Oh...I'm so confused!!!!! I really need some advice/guidance.
Thanks!

A silhouette will cut gumpaste, based on images/lettering/shapes on your computer.

A kopykake (projector) will allow you to trace images/lettering onto the surface of your cake, cookie, etc.

An edible image printer will print images/lettering with edible ink onto edible paper, but not cut.

Which one you will benefit from depends on your needs. I love my projector for cookies. I have only used my edible printer for wedding cookie favors. My silhouette has a learning curve to it, but is great for cakes designs.
